Position Summary The Purchasing Specialist sources raw materials, components, and supplies to support ongoing manufacturing operations; negotiates pricing, contracts, and delivery terms; monitors inventory levels and coordinates deliveries; analyzes market trends and supplier performance; collaborates with internal teams; and maintains accurate procurement and inventory records.RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing & Procurement Source raw materials, components, and supplies to support ongoing manufacturing operations. Negotiate pricing while ensuring adherence to quality standards and technical specifications. Supplier Relationship Management Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships. Negotiate contracts and delivery terms to ensure timely and cost-effective supply. Inventory Control Monitor inventory levels to support production needs without overstocking. Issue timely purchase orders and coordinate deliveries to maintain optimal inventory flow. Market & Vendor Analysis Stay informed on market trends, pricing shifts, and supplier performance. Use data to drive purchasing decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Coordinate closely with production, engineering, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement with business needs and timelines. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all purchases, vendor agreements, and inventory transactions. Qualifications - Preferred Prior purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with ERP or purchasing/inventory management software. Familiarity with Acumatica is a plus.QUALIFICATIONS
