Senior Commodity Buyer - Onsite#26-07851 Racine, WI Onsite Contract Starts 9/07/2026 Ends 3/05/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Commodity Buyer for a contract position with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Racine, WI. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This position is fully onsite.
Compensation:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This position is part of a high-performing procurement team and requires a self-starter who can manage all tasks for a parts and servicemodity up to contract signature. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global supply chain and purchasing, with mandatory expertise in SAP and advanced Excel functions to support data analysis, supplier negotiations, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform data analysis, resourcing actions, supplier negotiations, and surcharge management Manage reporting, payment resolutions, and waste minimization fund mitigations Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, andponents Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand Coordinate efforts in the reduction of purchasing and engineering costs and establish costs for new products Participate in design and/or technical reviews Select, rmend, and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors
Primary Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing with a specificmodity (8-12 years preferred) Mandatory experience with SAP Mandatory advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLookups, macros) Background in global-level procurement, supply chain, or purchasing is highly preferred Ability to read and understand blues and specifications Strong logistical knowledge and ability to perform technical and quality reviews of products Must be a self-starter able to work in a high-demand environment Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
