Server Products is committed to designing smarter solutions to everyday challenges so customers can serve easier, faster, and better than ever. the opportunity The Senior Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting new product development from initial concept through production launch. This position partners with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Planning to identify capable suppliers, evaluate manufacturability, manage sourcing timelines, and achieve cost, quality, and launch objectives. The role also develops strategic supplier partnerships, drives performance and cost improvements, and reduces supply chain risk. Additionally, this position may lead sourcing initiatives for strategic customers and other high-priority business needs. Responsibilities Lead sourcing activities for new product development projects from initial concept through production launch. Develop sourcing strategies for new products, including supplier selection, competitive RFQs, cost analysis, tooling, capacity, lead times, and supply risks. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Planning, and Innovation teams to meet technical, quality, cost, and launch objectives. Provide early sourcing and manufacturability input during product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and design changes. Coordinate supplier samples, prototypes, tooling, qualifications, and production approvals to support a smooth transition into full production. Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers capable of supporting current and future business needs. Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, supply agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other commercial terms. Monitor supplier performance and lead improvements related to quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, capacity, inventory, and risk reduction. Use cost analysis and supplier data to drive savings, supplier consolidation, process improvements, and sourcing decisions. Establish secondary sources for critical components, maintain required supplier and ERP documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and support other high-priority sourcing initiatives. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or new product development. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to develop effective supplier agreements and partnerships. Demonstrated strategic planning, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects from concept through production launch. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and lead initiatives across all organizational levels. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases, and ERP systems.
