Duties Assist in loading and unloading freight using proper techniques and equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks to ensure safety and efficiency. Support the delivery process by helping prepare shipments for transport, including securing loads on flatbeds or refrigerated trailers as needed. Participate in route driving when required, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure timely deliveries. Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, tanker trucks, or flatbeds with manual transmissions to support diverse transportation needs. Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify safety standards are met before departure. Help maintain accurate documentation of freight movement, load counts, and delivery logs for accountability and tracking purposes. Collaborate with team members to load, unload, sort, and organize freight efficiently within the warehouse or yard area. Support safety initiatives by following all company policies related to vehicle operation, cargo handling, and workplace safety procedures. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or truck driving is highly desirable; familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus. Hands-on experience operating forklifts or dump trucks enhances your ability to perform duties effectively. Knowledge of various freight types such as refrigerated cargo, flatbed loads, tanker shipments, or roll-off containers is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate equipment and techniques. Experience in route driving or supporting logistics operations helps ensure smooth delivery schedules. Strong physical stamina to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during freight handling tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for all roles.
