Job Description
Clerical Office Administrative Assistant Stewart Moving & Storage is seeking a Clerical Office Administrative Assistant for our Dover, DE Port warehouse location. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the warehouse and office operations, with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and timely processing of freight documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and paperwork, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy. General knowledge of freight shipping and receiving is a plus. Responsibilities Process and enter freight bills accurately and in a timely mannerReview freight documentation for completeness and accuracyPerform general clerical and data-entry dutiesAnswer and direct incoming phone callsRespond to emails and provide timely communication to customers, vendors, and internal staffEnter and maintain information in company systems and spreadsheetsUtilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, tracking, and reportingFile and organize documents and freight recordsAssist with shipping and receiving-related administrative tasksProvide general administrative support to warehouse management and staffMaintain accurate records and follow established office proceduresCommunicate professionally with customers, drivers, vendors, and coworkersPerform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned Requirements Previous clerical, administrative, office, or data-entry experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong clerical and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft ExcelAbility to accurately enter and process informationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to answer phones and communicate professionally with customers and vendorsStrong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a teamGeneral knowledge of freight shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plusMoving, transportation, logistics, or freight industry experience is a plus Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse office environment.
