Freight Forwarding & Logistics Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Air & Ocean Import / Freight Forwarding Coordinator to manage international import shipments from origin through final delivery. This position will coordinate with customers, overseas agents, airlines, steamship lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, warehouses, and other service providers to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with freight forwarding or import operations and a working knowledge of air and ocean imports, U.S. customs procedures, ISF, 7512 in-bond procedures, bonded cargo, warehouse entries, and consumption entries . Key Responsibilities Coordinate air and ocean import shipments from booking through final delivery. Prepare, review, and maintain import documentation and shipment records. Coordinate with overseas agents, steamship lines, airlines, trucking companies, customs brokers, warehouses, and customers. Track and trace shipments and provide timely updates to customers. Arrange customs clearance and coordinate required customs formalities. Work with ISF filings, 7512 in-bond procedures, bonded cargo, warehouse entries, and consumption entries. Coordinate cargo pickup from ports, airports, and warehouses. Arrange final delivery to customers and consignees. Process customer quote requests and obtain rates from carriers and vendors. Review freight charges and coordinate payments to airlines, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and other vendors. Monitor shipment milestones including arrival, customs clearance, cargo availability, pickup, and final delivery. Identify and resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, customs issues, and other operational problems. Maintain professional communication with customers, overseas agents, and service providers. Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, agents, vendors, and internal departments. Maintain accurate shipment data, billing information, documentation, and operational files. Manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Work closely with operations, customer service, sales, and accounting teams. Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable import and transportation regulations. Qualifications Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or import operations preferred. Hands-on knowledge of air and ocean import procedures . Familiarity with U.S. customs processes and import documentation. Understanding of

in-bond procedures, bonded shipments, warehouse entries, and consumption entries . Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with freight-forwarding or logistics software. Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) experience is a plus. Preferred Experience International freight forwarding. Air import operations. Ocean import operations. Customs clearance coordination. Bonded and in-bond shipments. Port, airport, warehouse, and final-mile delivery coordination. Customer and overseas agent communication. Freight forwarding or transportation management systems. Foreign-Trade Zone procedures. Compensation $45,000-$60,000 per year , depending on relevant freight forwarding experience, import knowledge, and qualifications.
