is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Flatbed Safety & PTI Compliance Specialist to join our team in-office in Elgin, IL. We are looking for someone with a strong trucking background , excellent understanding of flatbed operations, cargo securement, PTI inspections, and maintenance awareness . A former flatbed driver is a major plus. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone sharp, disciplined, and extremely observant who can immediately identify safety or maintenance concerns from driver pictures, videos, inspections, and daily communication. Schedule Monday

• Friday 8:00 AM
• 6:00 PM In-office position
• Elgin, IL 1099 Position Responsibilities Review and monitor daily PTI submissions from drivers Identify missing, inaccurate, or poor-quality PTI inspections Detect flatbed securement issues from pictures and videos Spot maintenance concerns before they become DOT violations or breakdowns Monitor trailers, straps, chains, binders, tarps, tires, lights, brakes, airbags, suspension, and overall equipment condition Follow up with drivers immediately regarding safety concerns Maintain organized logs, reports, and driver records Work closely with Safety, Shop, and Operations departments Ensure company safety standards are strictly followed Assist in coaching and retraining drivers when needed Requirements Strong experience in trucking industry required Flatbed experience required Former flatbed driver strongly preferred Deep understanding of PTI inspections and DOT expectations Strong knowledge of trucking maintenance and equipment Ability to identify problems quickly from pictures/videos Extremely detail-oriented and disciplined Strong communication and follow-up skills Must take safety seriously and be highly accountable Experience with Motive/Samsara or similar systems is a plus What We Are Looking For We need a person who: Notices details others miss Understands real flatbed operations Can recognize unsafe securement immediately Understands how violations affect CSA scores and company safety Is proactive, strict, and reliable Does not ignore problems or "pass things through" If you have strong flatbed knowledge and truly understand trucking safety and PTI compliance, we want to hear from you.
