Our salon services are part of a calm, professional, and high-quality experience where clients can book hair, skin, massage, and wellness services under one roof. We are seeking a licensed Hair Stylist to join our studio as an independent contractor and provide services to clients through our centralized booking system. Role Overview This is a commission-based, appointment-only role. Stylists are paid per service completed—there is no hourly pay and no requirement to be onsite without bookings. This position is ideal for stylists who want flexibility, consistent bookings, and a professional environment without the overhead of running their own salon. What You'll Do Provide professional hair services aligned with our service menu Deliver high-quality client experiences consistent with TotalCare standards Accept and fulfill booked appointments during agreed availability windows Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation Communicate professionally with clients and studio staff Follow all sanitation, licensing, and safety requirements Services May Include Haircuts and styling Blowouts Color services Natural hair and textured services Extensions (based on experience) (Service menu and pricing are established by TotalCare Studio.) Compensation Structure Commission-based pay per service (40-60%) Paid per completed appointment Tips paid directly to the stylist by clients Earnings are based on bookings and services performed Independent Contractor Classification This role is classified as a 1099 Independent Contractor position. No guaranteed hours Stylist sets availability within agreed booking windows Stylist is responsible for their own taxes Freedom to work elsewhere and maintain outside clientele Some benefits provided A written Independent Contractor Agreement is required prior to onboarding.
