Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Freight Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in connecting shippers with carriers, ensuring the smooth transportation of goods while maintaining strong relationships with clients and service providers. As a Broker Assistant you are responsible for supporting a high volume freight broker in the day-to-day sales and logistics tasks. You will learn the ins and outs of our company and help support our business growth and team growth. Duties Collaborate with the freight broker to maintain strong relationships with current customers and build connections with potential clients. Plan and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules for freight in collaboration with carriers and customers. Communicate effectively with carriers to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods. Utilize tracking systems to monitor the status of shipments. Assist with creation of new processes that will help better organize the team and lead to more efficiencies/analysis of loads. Provide regular updates and reports to customers on the progress of their freight. Collaborate with support staff to address any billing or dispatch issues related to the broker's book of business. Ensure accuracy in invoicing and assist in the resolution of any discrepancies. Respond promptly to all customer and carrier inquiries, providing necessary information and updates as required.
