Nottingham, MD to Annapolis, MD Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Night Freight Driver to transport goods between Nottingham and Annapolis, Maryland. This role requires consistent overnight driving, adherence to delivery schedules, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. The Night Freight Driver must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining professionalism on the road and in communications with dispatch and management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate a company vehicle to transport freight between Nottingham and Annapolis. Follow established routes and delivery schedules. Load and unload freight as needed. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding any delays or issues. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and adhere to safety and sanitation standards. Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to consistently work overnight shifts. Strong attention to detail, time management, and reliability. Ability to lift, carry, and move freight as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous driving or delivery experience. Familiarity with GPS navigation and route planning. Experience loading/unloading freight safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual techniques. Understanding of transportation logistics and delivery procedures. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Overnight driving in varying weather and road conditions. Independent work with minimal supervision. Physical activity including lifting, loading, and unloading freight.
