TRIP INTERN
The NGL Export & Market Analysis Intern will support the Energy Transfer NGL Export team in both analytical and operational functions. This role offers hands-on experience in product and freight market analysis, global NGL trade flows, and exposure to real-world operations at one of the nation's leading midstream companies.
Responsibilities:
Assist the team in understanding and analyzing the global NGL market , including supply and demand balances, freight trends, and international trading flows. Support ongoing market research efforts by gathering and summarizing data from company reports, analyst insights, and industry publications. Track major infrastructure projects in the U.S. upstream and midstream sectors to help assess potential impacts on NGL supply and demand. Assist in maintaining analytical models and datasets that support the business's strategic and operational decisions. Learn to use industry tools such as Kpler, Right Angle, and other data platforms to perform market and vessel flow analysis. Help prepare presentations and reports for management, business development, and marketing teams. Provide support in monitoring export documentation and vessel operations , gaining exposure to key operational processes such as nominations, freight logistics, and scheduling. Observe and assist with tracking policy and regulatory developments (e.g., Panama Canal operations, IMO regulations) that may impact business performance. Required Skills (External) Preferred qualifications: Currently enrolled in college majoring in Business, Finance or Engineering Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred Must possess a strong willingness to learn Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
