Role:
Coordinate and support the commercial aspects of Refrigerated & Dangerous Goods loadings. Monitor and report on Reefer & DG equipment forecasts and volumes on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Serve as liaison between Customers, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Logistics for special equipment. Assist with creating the annual equipment budget. Provide backup support for Out of Gauge & Tank activities.
Main Tasks:
Work with the various BU's to make sure pricing for Refrigerated and DG cargo is in line with Market rates. Monitors and ensure compliance with company policies. Exercises sound judgment and engage in high-impact decision-making while maintaining commitment to integrity and accountability. Analyzes situations and views the implications of certain decisions from a critical perspective. Communicates strategically within the sales team to identify areas of equipment surplus and ensure assets are allocated to the most profitable business Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from ZIM and other websites, external databases, and inquiries, trade shows, aged leads, business directories, etc. Identify and reach out to existing customers and prospects when new services / promotions are relevant Communicates strategically within the sales team to identify areas of equipment surplus and ensure assets are allocated to the most profitable business Work closely with Branch offices, and BDR team, to develop new opportunities. Prepare and analyze regional Reefer and DG volumes performance for monthly reviews. Coordinate Specialized equipment between multiple trades to ensure profitability and efficiency. Work to reduce the inventory levels in overbalanced locations through commercial decisions. Work with EQC and LOG to ensure EQC is in areas where we need it and turn time is at a minimum.
Requirements:
One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to conduct rudimentary analytics to include Market data review/analysis, forecasting and performance (to target) comparatives. Customer Service, Pricing, Logistics and/or Operations knowledge is a plus Prior Zim experience is a plus. 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience OOG & Operations knowledge is a plus
