THE OPPORTUNITY AT CAMP SLOANE YMCA
Camp Sloane YMCA seeks a dynamic, mission-driven leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a historic YMCA camp that has shaped the lives of generations of youth and families through outdoor adventure, leadership development, and community building. The incoming CEO will partner with an engaged Board of Directors, a passionate staff team, and a strong network of alumni and supporters who believe deeply in Camp Sloane's mission and legacy. The CEO will guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact while preparing for its centennial celebration in 2028. The Board seeks an innovative, strategic, and community-focused leader who can strengthen Camp Sloane's reputation as a premier YMCA camp while expanding access to transformational outdoor experiences for youth. The CEO will build relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners while ensuring the long-term sustainability of the organization. Ensuring the safety and well-being of young people is foundational to everything we do as a youth-serving organization. The CEO will champion a culture of safety and diversity that exceeds standards and reflects the YMCA's commitment to protecting youth.
Qualifications:
CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATES A
bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated experience in fiscal management and strategic leadership. At least five years of senior leadership experience within a YMCA camp or a comparable nonprofit organization; resident camping experience is preferred. A proven track record of success in fundraising, community engagement, and staff leadership.
