JOB SUMMARY
: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Benewah Community Hospital in St. Maries, ID. The CEO is responsible for overseeing daily hospital operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective use of resources. This role includes developing and executing strategic plans, guiding financial performance, and aligning business objectives with the hospital's mission and community needs. The CEO collaborates with the Board of Trustees, medical staff, and department leaders to drive organizational improvement, manage risk, and support service growth. The position also involves building strong relationships with community partners, representing the hospital in public forums, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Strong finance and budgeting skills, including experience with healthcare financial management and revenue optimization. Operations management expertise, with a track record of improving efficiency, quality, and patient safety in a clinical or hospital setting. Business planning and strategic planning skills to develop, implement, and evaluate short- and long-term organizational goals. Experience with sales, community outreach, or service development to strengthen the hospital's presence and support growth in a rural market. Demonstrated leadership ability, including staff management, team building, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and rural health issues. Relevant academic credentials, such as a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; a master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH, or similar) is preferred. Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a hospital or healthcare organization, ideally in a rural or community-based environment.
