We're partnering with a financially stable, mission-driven healthcare nonprofit to identify its next Executive Director as part of a planned leadership succession. This person will serve as the organization's top executive, leading strategy, fundraising, board relations, operations, staff leadership, and community engagement. The organization supports patients and families across a multi-state region and is looking for someone who can balance high-level leadership with a hands-on approach in a smaller nonprofit environment.

Ideal background:

Prior Executive Director, President, CEO, or comparable #1 leadership experience 10+ years of nonprofit leadership experience Healthcare, patient services, human services, or healthcare-adjacent exposure Strong fundraising and board management experience Comfortable overseeing operations, financial performance, and staff development This role is best suited for a proven nonprofit executive who enjoys being visible in the community, building relationships, and driving mission impact while remaining involved in day-to-day organizational leadership. Location is Columbus-based with regular regional travel. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
