Job Description

Job Summary Christian Help, Inc. is seeking an experienced, mission-driven leader to serve as our next Executive Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to guide a respected community nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance, hope, and pathways to self-sufficiency for individuals and families throughout Monongalia County. The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, financial stewardship, staff supervision, community engagement, and resource development. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will ensure the organization's mission remains strong, sustainable, and responsive to evolving community needs. Responsibilities Strategic & Board Leadership
  • Partner with the Board of Directors to advance the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Provide timely information and recommendations that support informed board decision-making.
  • Assist with strategic planning, implementation, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Participate in board and committee meetings as needed
  • Community Engagement & Advocacy Serve as the public face of Christian Help.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, businesses, government agencies, faith communities, and community organizations.
  • Represent Christian Help at community events, meetings, and speaking engagements.
  • Lead marketing, communications, and community awareness efforts.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and challenges affecting the organization and the people it serves. Organizational Leadership
  • Oversee daily operations, programs, services, events, facilities, and organizational resources.
  • Supervise and support staff through recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on service, accountability, and mission fulfillment.
  • Ensure effective delivery and evaluation of programs and services. Financial Stewardship & Fundraising
  • Collaborate on annual budget development and financial planning.
  • Maintain the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
  • Monitor cash flow and organizational expenditures.
  • Cultivate donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Identify funding opportunities and assist with grant writing, reporting, and resource development efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational requirements.
Qualifications Successful candidates will possess:
  • 5-7 years of community outreach, nonprofit management, or related leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, programs, and community initiatives.
  • Strong financial management and fundraising experience.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and organizational planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, board members, and community stakeholders.
  • Commitment to serving others with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.

$49,367.11 - $59,452.86 per year
