As PathogenDx expands its commercial operations and product portfolio, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Vice President of Operations to lead and scale the company's operational infrastructure in Tucson. This is a critical executive leadership position for an experienced operator who enjoys working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial, highly technical environment and who can translate business strategy into disciplined operational execution. Position Summary The Vice President of Operations will have overall responsibility for the Company's operational execution, including manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, customer technical and software support, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, facilities, and environmental health and safety. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations will establish the processes, systems, organization, and accountability necessary to support PathogenDx's transition from development-stage operations to a scalable commercial diagnostics company. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operating leader and builder—someone who can work at both the strategic and tactical levels, solve problems directly, establish structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy, and drive teams to execute. What You Will Do Operational Leadership & Scale Lead day-to-day operations across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, facilities, technical support, and EHS. Develop and implement scalable operating processes that support increasing commercial demand and new product introductions. Establish clear operating metrics, accountability, priorities, and performance expectations across operational functions. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and operational risks and implement practical solutions. Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, cost, throughput, and delivery performance. Establish operational plans and resource requirements aligned with the Company's business plan and commercial growth. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Lead and optimize manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules, quality requirements, cost targets, and customer delivery commitments. Develop reliable supply-chain and procurement processes for critical raw materials, components, consumables, and finished products. Manage supplier relationships, purchasing, inventory, material planning, and logistics. Improve forecasting, inventory control, material availability, and manufacturing efficiency. Establish appropriate vendor qualification, performance monitoring, and contingency planning. Support capacity planning and infrastructure decisions as the Company's commercial volume increases. Quality & Compliance Lead the Company's Quality Management System and ensure compliance with applicable ISO and cGMP requirements. Drive continuous improvement of quality systems, procedures, documentation, and records. Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings and corrective actions. Partner with Product Development to ensure effective design transfer and successful transition of new products into manufacturing. Establish systems that ensure consistent product quality and reliable customer performance. Partner with leadership to maintain a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Execution Work closely with Product Development, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and executive leadership to align operational priorities with business objectives. Partner with Product Development on product release schedules, design transfer, manufacturing readiness, and production scale-up. Partner with Sales to ensure operational capacity and customer commitments are aligned. Translate Company strategy into executable operational plans. Provide executive leadership with regular reporting on operational performance, quality, production, supply chain, costs, and key risks. Lead weekly operational and cross-functional meetings with clear actions, owners, and deadlines. People & Organizational Leadership Build, develop, and lead a high-performing operations organization. Recruit, develop, coach, and retain key operational talent. Establish clear roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability. Create a collaborative "one team" culture across operational functions and the broader organization. Serve as a senior onsite executive for the Tucson facility and ensure appropriate health, safety, security, and facility protocols are maintained. What Success Looks Like During the first 12-18 months, the successful candidate will: Establish a disciplined and scalable operating structure across the Tucson facility. Improve manufacturing execution, production planning, and on-time delivery. Strengthen the Company's Quality Management System and audit readiness. Improve supply-chain reliability and inventory/material management. Reduce unnecessary operational costs and improve use of resources. Establish meaningful operating metrics and accountability. Successfully support the transition of new products from development into commercial manufacturing. Build a strong, accountable operations team capable of supporting PathogenDx's growth.

What We're Looking For Required:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including significant leadership experience in operations. At least 3 years of senior management or executive-level leadership experience. Demonstrated experience managing manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and/or operations in a regulated environment. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or

ISO 13485

quality management systems. Significant experience participating in and/or leading internal and external audits. Demonstrated experience implementing process improvement initiatives with measurable results. Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively across technical, commercial, and corporate functions. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred:

Experience in molecular diagnostics, IVD, biotechnology, life sciences, medical devices, laboratory products, or another regulated manufacturing environment. Experience scaling manufacturing from development or low-volume production into commercial production. Experience with design transfer, product launches, and commercialization. MBA or advanced degree. Experience working within cGMP environments. The PathogenDx Operating Style This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves. We are looking for an executive who can move between strategy and execution—someone who can review a production plan in the morning, work through a supplier problem at noon, address a quality issue in the afternoon, and then report operational performance to the CEO and executive team. Location & Work Environment This is an onsite position based at PathogenDx's facility in Tucson, Arizona. The VP of Operations is expected to be a visible, engaged leader at the facility and actively involved with the Company's employees, manufacturing operations, quality systems, supply chain, facilities, and day-to-day execution.
