POSITION SUMMARY
The YMCA of the Palm Beaches is expanding its philanthropy team and seeking a dynamic and accomplished fundraising leader to serve as our Chief Philanthropy Officer. Reporting directly to the President & CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Philanthropy Officer will lead the YMCA's philanthropic strategy in alignment with the organization's strategic initiatives and priorities. High-level competencies should include the following:
- Proven strength in developing, leading, and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies
- Success raising seven figure gifts (eight figure gifts a plus)
- Experience leading capital and/or comprehensive campaigns
- Planned giving expertise
- Expert relationship-building skills
- Track record of taking principal and major donors from identification through solicitation
- Experience tracking and using data analysis to build fundraising strategy
- Creative, personal, and effective stewardship strategies for principal and major donors
- Successful team management and leadership experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required; CFRE and/or CFRM highly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience
- Demonstrated success securing major and principal gifts
- Proven experience leading comprehensive fundraising initiatives and capital campaigns
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with donors, volunteers, board members, and community leaders
