Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and coordinates the business operations of the areas as assigned to ensure high-quality health care services and excellent customer service. Identifies and recommends opportunities for business development in the community; implements and coordinates plans for growth and expansion. Insures the operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of the Queen's Medical Center (QMC). Establishes and achieves goals and objectives consistent with the Medical Center's mission, short and long range plans. Work involves operations at different sites; may be assigned to other area(s) of responsibility.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential:
finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
Continuous:
sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
Frequent:
walking.
Occasional:
standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object. Operates computer, calculator, telephone, fax, and printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Work includes traveling to different clinical sites. Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at any given time
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or healthcare. Knowledge of business principles, including, business planning, budgeting, financial analysis. Knowledge of clinical and financial systems and management information systems. Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulatory requirements.
B. EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in business operations in the healthcare industry. One (1) years lead/supervisory/management experience in healthcare, preferably in a comparable role. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet Your Health.
