Job Description
Lundbeck seeks a Director US Patient Advocacy Liaison to lead national advocacy strategy for its neuroscience portfolio. Based in Deerfield, IL, this role builds strong partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, ensuring the patient voice shapes R D, access, and education initiatives. The Director collaborates closely with medical, commercial, policy, and communications teams, develops compliant advocacy programs and advisory boards, and represents Lundbeck at key external forums. The position requires deep knowledge of brain health conditions, regulatory and ethical standards, and proven experience translating patient insights into impactful, mission-driven programs. Responsibilities Lead U. S. patient advocacy strategy for neuroscience portfolio, aligning with Lundbeck's mission and business goals Build and maintain relationships with national and regional patient advocacy organizations and key community stakeholders Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, commercial, policy, and communications teams to integrate patient insights Ensure patient voice informs clinical development, access, and education initiatives Oversee development of advocacy programs, advisory boards, and educational resources for brain health conditions Guide compliant interactions with external partners, adhering to regulatory and ethical standards Represent Lundbeck at advocacy meetings, conferences, and public forums Monitor policy, regulatory, and advocacy trends in neuroscience and translate insights into strategy Lead or mentor a small team, setting priorities, goals, and performance expectations Track and report on advocacy impact, metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership Required Skills Patient advocacy strategy Stakeholder and relationship management Neuroscience/central nervous system (CNS) disease knowledge Cross-functional collaboration Regulatory and compliance knowledge (FDA/OIG/industry codes) Program and project management Public speaking and presentation Health policy and access understanding Data and insights interpretation for strategy Team leadership and mentoring
