Job Description

This is a full-time, in-office role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, with 2/3 of the role focused on bookkeeping, and 1/3 on office coordination. Required experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred Demonstrated analytical, strategic, and innovative thinking Demonstrated oral and written communication skills 3-5 years of experience executing in a fast-paced office environment Proficient in QuickBooks online Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of cash and accrual based accounting and financial schedules Preferred experience:
  • Work with a family-owned business
  • Work with ADP payroll processing
Objectives:
  • Accurate, detailed entries and reporting from QuickBooks and associated platforms (payroll, etc.)
  • Timely data input to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Deliver accurate, effective communication to all stakeholders
  • Support the firm operations through office coordination Specific bookkeeping job functions (2/3 of role): Process and report on financial transactions and tasks including, but not limited to: Accounts Payable All aspects of accounts payable including, but not limited to, vendor and contract management, invoice entry, payment processing via check or ACH, credit card receipt tracking and reconciliation, managing future payables schedule, etc.
Accounts Receivable All aspects of accounts receivable including, but not limited to, setting up new clients, invoicing and payment receipt, managing future invoicing schedule from client contracts, track client reimbursable expenses, managing credit card payments via Stripe, following up on past due invoices, etc. Employees
  • All aspects of payroll including, but not limited to, processing bi-weekly payroll including verification of quarterly and annual reports, tax compliance, commission tracking, completing audits and surveys, processing
SIMPLE IRA
contributions, participating in employee onboarding, etc. Inventory
  • Maintain proper book inventory in QuickBooks for Good Leadership titles and How Goodness Pays Monitoring
  • Monitor cash balances in business banking accounts with regular communication to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tracking, reporting, budgeting
  • All aspects of tracking and reporting including, but not limited to updating weekly cash flow, generating accurate monthly financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, inventory), maintaining and managing a schedule of deferred revenue and expenses, preparing for regular meetings with Good Leadership's business consultant.
Partner with Chief Operating Officer to create annual budget, etc. Tax information
  • Aspects of tax reporting including, but not limited to, maintaining records for end of year 1099 coordination with tax accountant, prepare and file quarterly sales and use tax returns, partner with Chief Financial Officer for business tax preparation requirements General
  • Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents utilizing Microsoft Teams
  • Help with financial duties at company events (Good Leadership Breakfasts, Conference, Awards, etc.)
  • Partner with Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to ensure financial best practices Specific office coordination job functions (1/3 of role): Responsibilities include, but not limited to, greeting and welcoming office guests, lunch coordination for in-house events, ensuring the office is stocked with supplies, snacks, beverages, etc.

Pay:
$57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
