Director Reconciliation & Settlements Headhunter:
Scott L Page & Associates Life Insurance Woodbridge, NJ - USA Manager / Team Leader Show compensation Onsite Apply now Save position Experteer Overview As Director Reconciliation & Settlements, you will lead daily money movement, reconciliation, and partner settlement operations. You will shape scalable, automated processes across our POS financing platform and capital partner relationships, reporting to the Chief Loan Operations and Service Officer. Your work ensures accurate cash movements, settlement of card transactions, and compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. This role offers impact by optimizing financial controls in a fast-growth environment and partnering with technology, finance, and product teams. Responsibilities Lead onboarding and act as the operational liaison for capital partners Ensure timely delivery of partner reporting and transaction files Oversee daily cash movements with internal and external partners Prepare journal entries for loan activity and fund flows Manage end-to-end card settlement including interchange validation and dispute resolution Investigate reconciliation discrepancies and resolve ledger breaks Ensure regulatory and audit compliance Design end-to-end reconciliation processes for internal and external platforms Monitor key metrics and develop reporting frameworks for leadership Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce risk Provide operational support to customer service and commercial teams Train and mentor staff and support new product initiatives Key requirements 10+ years in transactional operations roles Strong knowledge of installment lending, debit/credit card reconciliation, merchant processing, and ACH systems Hands-on credit card settlement operations experience including card network settlement and chargeback workflows Understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation practices Proven ability to design and manage reconciliation processes at scale problem-solving with meticulous attention to detail strong communication and ability to translate complex concepts organizational and project management skills Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas) Experience with reconciliation software or financial platforms Familiarity with SQL or data analysis tools
