Job Description
Operations Specialist
We are looking for a leader who will maintain a strong daily presence within thecommunities, working alongside ExecutiveDirectors and department leaders to strengthen execution, solve operationalchallenges, improve accountability, and drive measurable results. The ideal candidate has successfully led senior livingcommunities and is ready to operate at a broader level—similar to an Area Executive Director, RegionalOperations Leader, or multi-site Executive Director. This individual must be equally comfortable developingstrategy with senior leadership and rolling up their sleeves inside a communityto ensure the strategy is executed. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on operational leadership and support to Aviva's Northern Ohio communities. Maintain a consistent presence within the communities and actively participate in day-to-day operations. Partner closely with Executive Directors to strengthen leadership, accountability, and execution. Identify operational gaps and develop clear action plans to improve performance. Drive execution of company initiatives, operating standards, and strategic priorities. Monitor community performance and intervene quickly when results fall below expectations. Support improvements in occupancy, revenue, labor management, expense control, NOI, resident satisfaction, and employee retention. Coach and develop Executive Directors and other community leaders. Establish clear expectations, follow-up processes, and accountability for community leadership teams. Partner with corporate leaders across Sales, Talent, HR, Clinical, Finance, and other functional areas. Assist with leadership transitions, community stabilization, and other high-priority operational initiatives. Evaluate processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and resident experience. Translate high-level organizational strategy into practical community-level execution. Serve as an extension of senior operations leadership within the Northern Ohio market. Preferred experience includes:
Significant leadership experience within senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another multi-site service environment. Previous experience as an Executive Director, Area Executive Director, Regional Director of Operations, or comparable operational leader strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to improve the performance of communities or operating locations. Strong understanding of financial performance, including budgets, labor management, revenue, expenses, and NOI. Experience coaching and holding senior community leaders accountable. Ability to quickly assess an operation, identify the real issues, and develop an executable plan. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving. Ability to travel regularly between assigned Northern Ohio communities. Leadership Profile We're looking for someone who: Thinks strategically but executes relentlessly. Can walk into a community and quickly understand what's working and what isn't. Builds credibility with Executive Directors without taking over their role. Uses data and observation to make decisions. Sets clear expectations and follows through. Knows when to coach, when to challenge, and when to intervene. Understands that successful senior living operations ultimately come down to people, residents, execution, and financial discipline.Compensation Base Salary:
$115,000- 140,000, based on experience andqualifications.
