The Opportunity:
As sustainability is a core value of Salesforce, the Sustainability Corporate Counsel role plays a fundamental part in achieving Salesforce's environmental goals. This legal role is part of our Procurement Legal team, serving as a key strategic partner to the Impact Team and Global Procurement Services. In this role, you will help drive forward Salesforce's sustainability commitments by structuring innovative environmental attribute transactions, guiding internal sustainability initiatives like supply chain sustainability programs, and managing legal risk related to sustainability claims and commitments. In addition to executing high-impact carbon credit, renewable energy, and environmental attribute deals, you will have the opportunity to showcase legal thought leadership and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Actually Be Doing Structure, draft, negotiate, and manage a complex portfolio of environmental attribute transactions, including carbon credit purchase agreements, multi-party off-take agreements, virtual power purchase agreements, and distributed renewable energy certificate agreements. Oversee and expand Salesforce's industry-defining Sustainability Exhibit, helping incorporate binding environmental contractual commitments into the supply chain. Education & Bar Admission:
J.D. degree; active license to practice law in the state within the United States in which you reside.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience, with a focus on complex environmental attribute transactions, carbon markets, or renewable energy. Proven track record of negotiating complex carbon agreements, VPPAs, or other innovative sustainability-focused procurement structures. Even Better If …
