Position Overview We're seeking an accomplished leader to serve as our VP of IT Operations, a key member of our corporate IT leadership team reporting directly to the CIO. This position oversees all IT infrastructure, and resort IT teams across our portfolio of properties. You'll lead a fully remote team of eight talented subject matter experts in networking, server hosting, cloud services, service management, desktop support, and resort IT operations. Your vision will improve synergies between our various technology teams and ensure initiatives are properly resourced for success. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmap that supports Boyne Resorts' business objectives and enhances guest experiences Evaluate existing technology environments to implement efficient information processing and communication technologies Deploy innovative solutions that enable stability, reliability, security, and flexibility across all properties Create technology SOPs, guidelines, and standards, with effective enforcement mechanisms Financial Management Collaborate with corporate and resort teams to plan adequate capital and operational budgets aligned with each property's long-term direction Develop and manage the annual IT budget, engaging each resort IT Director in the budgeting process Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality Team Leadership & Development Build strong relationships with IT Directors at each resort, fostering cooperation and openness to innovative ideas Provide mentorship, guidance, and educational opportunities to IT team members across all properties Lead weekly collaborative calls with IT teams to share best practices and ensure cross-resort alignment Recruit, develop, and retain top technology talent Technical Oversight Ensure robust cybersecurity practices and compliance across all properties Oversee network infrastructure, server environments, workstations, service desk operations, wireless networks, and telephony Stay current with emerging technologies that provide competitive advantages in the resort industry Manage enterprise vendor relationships and service level agreements Project Management Oversee multiple complex technology initiatives simultaneously across various properties Ensure consistent project management methodology Balance resource allocation for both corporate initiatives and resort-specific projects Qualifications Experience & Education 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the ski resort or hospitality industry Demonstrated success managing technology across multiple properties or locations Experience leading and developing remote technology teams Technical Knowledge Comprehensive understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity Experience with technologies specific to the ski/resort industry (e.g., ticketing systems, RFID integration, hotel systems , F&B POS ) Expertise overseeing networks, servers, workstations, service desk operations, wireless networks, and telephony Knowledge of current IT security best practices and compliance requirements Leadership & Interpersonal Skills Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technology teams Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, non-technical terms Experience working effectively in decentralized organizational structures Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities Collaborative decision-making approach with the ability to drive consensus Personal Attributes Self-assured and results-oriented with a track record of meeting objectives Flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment Passion for the outdoors and alignment with Boyne Resorts' values Strong problem-solving abilities with a solutions-focused mindset Benefits & Perks Competitive salary Ski and golf privileges at all Boyne Resorts properties Ability to make a significant impact across iconic North American resort destinations Flexible remote work arrangement with periodic on-site visits Application Process Qualified candidates should submit a resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience.
