This executive oversees daily operational functions, ensures regulatory compliance, enhances customer experience, and leads strategic initiatives that improve organizational growth, efficiency, and service delivery. The role partners closely with executive leadership to execute the organization's strategic objectives.

Essential ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipProvide strategic leadership for core operational functions, including deposit operations, payments, fraud prevention, security, card services, and back-office operations.

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards.

Monitor operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Lead workflow optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and service quality.

Strategic Planning & ExecutionCollaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement long-term operational strategies.

Oversee large-scale operational initiatives, including process modernization, system implementations, and digital transformation.

Evaluate industry trends and recommend operational improvements.

Customer ExperiencePromote a customer-focused service culture across operational teams.

Ensure consistent, high-quality service across all service channels.

Implement programs to measure and improve customer satisfaction.

Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

Maintain operational risk management programs, business continuity planning, internal controls, and audit readiness.

Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit teams to proactively address operational risks.

Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop operational leadership teams.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and service excellence.

Vendor & Technology ManagementManage relationships with key operational vendors and service providers.

Collaborate with Information Technology to ensure operational systems support scalability, security, and efficiency.

Support the evaluation and implementation of new technology platforms and automation solutions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in financial services, including significant experience in banking or credit union operations.

Proven experience leading multi-functional operations teams.

Experience managing complex operational projects and enterprise system implementations.

EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field (required).Master's degree (preferred).Required SkillsDeep knowledge of financial institution operations, regulations, and operational processes.
