Job Description

VP of Operations & Business Growth Birdie Bridal | Fort Worth, TX | Full-Time About Birdie Bridal Birdie Bridal is a growing bridal retail company built around helping brides find a wedding dress that feels uniquely theirs. With three locations and a team of approximately 20 employees, we are continuing to expand our brand, elevate the customer experience, and build a business designed for long-term growth. We are looking for an exceptional leader to help us take Birdie Bridal to the next level. This is an opportunity for a driven, strategic, and entrepreneurial operator to join a growing company, lead a talented team, and help build the systems and leadership structure needed to scale. The Opportunity We are seeking a VP of Operations & Business Growth to oversee company-wide operations, develop our leadership team, improve profitability, and drive strategic growth across all locations. This person will work directly with the owner to turn company vision into measurable results. You will be responsible for making sure our stores operate efficiently, our managers lead effectively, our team performs at a high level, and our business continues to grow profitably. We are looking for someone who doesn't just identify problems but takes ownership of solving them. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong operator, and a proven leader who knows how to turn ambitious goals into execution. Key Responsibilities1. Company-Wide Operations Oversee the day-to-day operations of all three Birdie Bridal locations. Develop and implement systems, processes, and standard operating procedures that create consistency across locations. Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions that improve productivity and profitability. Ensure each location delivers an exceptional and consistent customer experience. Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards for all departments. Build scalable operational systems that support future locations and business expansion. 2. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop store managers and department leaders. Establish a strong leadership structure that empowers managers to own their results. Build a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement. Identify talent gaps, recruit exceptional team members, and develop future leaders. Create clear performance expectations, feedback systems, and professional development opportunities. Address performance issues promptly and professionally. 3. Revenue Growth & Profitability Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and improve profitability across all locations. Monitor sales performance, average transaction value, appointment conversion, labor costs, and other key business metrics. Identify opportunities to increase revenue through improved sales processes, customer experience, merchandising, and operational execution. Partner with leadership to establish budgets, sales goals, and financial targets. Analyze performance trends and implement strategies to improve results. Ensure growth initiatives are supported by sound financial and operational planning. 4. Strategic Planning & Business Expansion Work directly with the owner to translate the company's vision into actionable business plans. Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and operational improvement. Develop systems and infrastructure to support additional locations and new business initiatives. Evaluate new opportunities using financial analysis, operational feasibility, and market research. Lead the execution of company-wide strategic initiatives and expansion projects. Help build a business that can scale without requiring the owner to manage daily operations. 5. Systems, Metrics & Accountability Establish and maintain company-wide KPIs and performance dashboards. Create a consistent reporting structure across all locations. Use data to identify trends, solve problems, and make informed business decisions. Establish regular leadership meetings and performance reviews. Ensure managers understand their numbers and are accountable for their results. Implement technology, automation, and process improvements where they create measurable value. 6. Owner Partnership & Executive Leadership Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the owner. Provide regular updates on company performance, opportunities, and challenges. Bring solutions and recommendations—not simply problems. Take ownership of execution while keeping the owner informed of important decisions. Protect the company's culture, customer experience, and long-term vision. Help the owner transition away from daily operational involvement and toward strategic leadership. What Success Looks Like We believe the right leader should be measured by results, not simply hours worked. Success in this role will include: All three locations operating consistently and efficiently. Strong, capable managers who take ownership of their teams and results. Improved revenue, profitability, and labor efficiency. Clear company-wide reporting and accountability. Documented systems that reduce dependence on the owner. A stronger talent pipeline and leadership team. A scalable operational foundation for future growth. Specific performance targets will be established collaboratively based on company goals and baseline performance. Who We're Looking For We are looking for a high-caliber business leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Required Qualifications Significant leadership experience in multi-location retail, hospitality, franchising, or a similarly operationally complex business. Demonstrated experience managing managers and leading teams across multiple locations. Experience improving business performance, operational efficiency, and profitability. Strong financial literacy, including budgets, labor costs, sales metrics, and profit-and-loss statements. Experience developing systems, processes, and accountability structures. Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to lead through both strategic planning and day-to-day execution. A track record of taking ownership and delivering measurable results. Preferred Qualifications Experience helping a company scale from a small business into a larger multi-location operation. Experience in retail, fashion, bridal, luxury goods, or customer-experience-driven businesses. Experience building and developing leadership teams. Experience with sales performance management, operational reporting, and process automation. Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a growing, evolving business. The Person Who Will Thrive Here You might be a great fit if you: Think like an owner and take responsibility for business outcomes. Love building systems and making businesses run better. Can zoom out to see the big picture and zoom in to solve operational problems. Know how to motivate people while holding them accountable. Are comfortable making decisions in a fast-growing business. Prefer solving problems over making excuses. Are energized by growth, building teams, and creating something meaningful. Want to make a measurable impact on a company's future. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We want someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative, and helps us build what comes next. Compensation & Benefits Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, leadership ability, and demonstrated results.
The compensation package may include:
Competitive executive-level base salary. Performance-based bonus tied to company goals and measurable results. Paid time off. Opportunities for professional growth and long-term advancement. Direct partnership with the owner and meaningful influence over the company's future.
Compensation:
To be determined based on experience and the final scope of the role. How to Apply We want to hear from leaders who have made a meaningful impact on the businesses they've worked for. Please submit your resume along with a brief explanation of: The largest team or number of locations you have managed. A business you helped grow, improve, or scale—and the measurable results you achieved. How you have improved profitability, operational efficiency, or leadership performance. Why you believe you would be a strong fit for Birdie Bridal. We are especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate how they have turned ambitious business goals into measurable results. If you are a growth-minded operator who wants to help build something exceptional, we would love to meet you.
