Position Overview Fletco Construction is seeking a proven leader to serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO). This individual will work directly alongside ownership and executive leadership to oversee company operations, strengthen internal processes, support continued growth, and help lead the future of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strong, confident leader who understands construction from the ground up, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can delegate effectively while leading and motivating teams. The COO will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting project teams, developing leaders, and ensuring projects are delivered with the quality and professionalism Fletco is known for. This person should be a proactive, solutions-oriented leader with the judgment and experience to make sound, cost-effective decisions while keeping budgets, schedules, and company goals in mind. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across all divisions of the company Support project teams to ensure successful execution, scheduling, budgeting, and client satisfaction Develop and improve operational systems, processes, and accountability standards Work closely with preconstruction, estimating, project management, and field operations teams Assist in strategic planning, growth initiatives, and long-term company goals Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, partners, and community stakeholders Help recruit, mentor, and develop team members and future leaders within the company Monitor company performance, operational efficiency, and financial goals Maintain a strong culture focused on teamwork, communication, safety, and integrity Identify opportunities for continued growth and operational improvement Lead teams with a culture of ownership, professionalism, collaboration, and accountability Make timely, informed, and cost-effective operational decisions that support company goals and project success Empower department leaders and project teams to operate efficiently while maintaining alignment with company standards and expectations Qualifications 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial construction or operations management Strong understanding of construction operations, project execution, and team leadership Proven ability to lead teams, improve systems, and manage growth Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience managing multiple projects and departments simultaneously Ability to build relationships and lead with professionalism and accountability Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred What We Offer Competitive executive compensation package Performance-based incentives Opportunity to help lead and grow a respected Texas construction company Strong company culture centered around relationships, trust, and teamwork Long-term leadership opportunity with a growing organization
