Lancium builds gigawatt-scale campuses for AI data centers. We develop and orchestrate all power infrastructure at the campuses, including the grid interconnect, behind the meter solar, and large-scale energy storage systems. We currently have 5+ Gigawatts of capacity in various stages of development, and our projects under construction today are some of the largest in the world. The SVP, Operations will lead the design, build, and execution of a centralized operations model that treats the company's campuses as true utility-scale infrastructure. This executive will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving operational excellence, system reliability, and real-time visibility across a growing portfolio of large-scale campuses. This role partners closely with senior leaders in Engineering and Projects/Construction and is instrumental in building a scalable, utility-grade operating model that emphasizes reliability, redundancy, and performance. What You'll Do Operations Strategy & Leadership Own and lead the end-to-end operations strategy for campus electrical infrastructure, with a focus on substations and grid-scale systems Evolve and scale the company's operating model across multiple campuses Establish and track performance metrics, reliability standards, and operational KPIs Operations Center Development Design, build, and implement a centralized Operations Center from the ground up Define monitoring frameworks, escalation protocols, and ensure 24/7 operational coverage Enable real-time visibility and control across all campuses through integrated systems SCADA & Systems Integration Partner closely with Engineering to define SCADA architecture, tools, and data integration Ensure operational readiness and usability of SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control Help define long-term ownership and structure of SCADA within the organization Team Leadership & Organizational Buildout Assess, design, and build the future-state operations organization Establish best-in-class processes, discipline, and operational rigor Cross-Functional Leadership Collaborate across Engineering, Construction, Security, and Technology teams Contribute to executive-level decisions related to infrastructure and growth strategy Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Engineering or related discipline) preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Must have prior experience with renewable developers, IPPs, or similar infrastructure-heavy environments Experience with SCADA systems and grid monitoring tools 15+ years of progressive experience in operations, with a significant focus on utility-scale electrical infrastructure, substations, and grid-connected systems 7+ years of leadership experience managing large, distributed teams and complex operational environments Proven experience building and scaling operations organizations in high-growth or multi-site environments Demonstrated success standing up centralized operations or control centers Experience with real-time monitoring of large-scale grid infrastructure Track record of scaling operations across multiple sites or regions What We Will Provide Our benefits and perks add to a total rewards experience for our employees that foster a supportive, flexible, and inclusive environment.
