Type:
full-time Top 10 ENR National General Contractor looking to identify a Vice President of Field Operations who will lead field execution across a major hyperscale data center program. This is a national travel role with responsibility for overseeing the entire field operation, driving execution across large-scale mission-critical projects, and leading senior field leadership teams from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead overall field operations for hyperscale data center construction Manage and develop General Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, MEP leadership, and field teams Own field execution across safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production Partner closely with project executives, operations leadership, preconstruction, and clients Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery Establish field standards and best practices across multiple projects Support staffing, succession planning, and growth of the mission-critical division Serve as a senior field representative with hyperscale clients and executive leadership
Ideal Background:
20+ years of commercial construction experience Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical construction experience required Proven experience leading large field teams and managing senior field leadership Strong understanding of hyperscale construction, MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover Experience delivering large-scale data center projects valued in the hundreds of millions or billions Background with a nationally recognized General Contractor Ability and willingness to travel nationally This is an opportunity to join one of the largest and most respected contractors in the country and take ownership of field operations within a rapidly growing hyperscale data center platform. Candidates must have direct data center construction experience to be considered.
