3003317673-2 Apply for this job now Job Description The National Council on Aging (NCOA) seeks a Chief Operating Officer to lead organization-wide operations that advance health, financial security, and social connection for older adults. The COO will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, and performance management; align programs, technology, and people operations; and ensure data-informed decision-making. Partnering closely with the CEO and senior leaders, the COO will drive operational excellence, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and build scalable systems that support growth, equity, and measurable impact for vulnerable and disadvantaged older adults nationwide. Responsibilities Lead organization-wide operations, systems, and processes to support NCOA's mission and strategic plan. Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management to ensure financial sustainability and impact. Align programs, technology, and people operations to drive efficiency, quality, and scalability. Develop and track data-informed KPIs to guide decision-making and continuous improvement. Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning, governance, and organizational priorities. Foster a mission-driven, inclusive culture rooted in equity, collaboration, and accountability. Ensure strong risk management, compliance, and operational policies across the organization. Build and mentor high-performing cross-functional teams and leaders.
