ExemptPosition OverviewProvide strategic and operational leadership for all Food & Beverage operations across Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Responsible for developing and executing the division's vision, driving financial performance, elevating guest experiences, developing leadership talent, and ensuring operational excellence across all dining, beverage, catering, and special event operations.

Job DutiesThese are duties/responsibilities the person performs as a normal activity throughout the year either weekly or more often. Essential functions are central and necessary to the adequate performance of the job.
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Food & Beverage strategy aligned with JHMR's mission, vision, values, and long-term business objectives, and with a focus on business growth.

Lead outlet positioning, concept development, menu strategy, pricing strategy, and culinary innovation across all venues.

Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to resort-wide planning, operational priorities, and strategic initiatives.

Identify industry trends, changing guest preferences, and emerging opportunities to strengthen JHMR's market position.

Enable team to lead their locations and grow the business by fostering a culture of entrepreneurialism and ownership.
Financial Management:
Responsible for achieving annual revenue, profitability, labor, and EBITDA targets for the Food & Beverage Division.

Develop annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and long-term financial forecasts.

Monitor and analyze financial performance through KPI dashboards, menu engineering, product mix analysis, labor productivity metrics, and guest satisfaction scores.

Implement strategies to improve profitability while maintaining guest satisfaction and brand standards.

Oversee purchasing programs, inventory controls, and vendor relationships.
Operational Excellence:
Direct all front-of-house and back-of-house operations across multiple restaurants, bars, mountain venues, grab-and-go operations, and catered events.

Ensure consistent execution of service standards, food quality standards, sanitation requirements, and safety protocols.

Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for all Food & Beverage operations.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, and guest experience.

Partner with support departments to ensure operational readiness and successful execution.
Guest Experience Leadership:
Champion a culture of hospitality excellence throughout the division.

Monitor Medallia scores, guest feedback, online reviews, and operational performance indicators.

Develop and implement along with location managers, action plans to improve guest satisfaction and service recovery results.

Partner with Marketing and Resort Operations to ensure Food & Beverage offerings align with JHMR's premium guest experience.
Talent Development & Culture:
Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team.

Lead succession planning and leadership development initiatives throughout the division.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Support employee engagement, recognition programs, and workforce development initiatives.

Ensure compliance with all company employment practices and policies.
Capital Planning & Asset Management:
Develop and manage annual capital investment plans for Food & Beverage facilities and equipment.

Lead renovation projects, outlet improvements, and new venue development initiatives.

Ensure assets are maintained to support operational efficiency, safety, and guest expectations.

Manage capital projects within approved budgets and timelines.

Represent JHMR Food & Beverage operations at industry conferences, community events, and professional associations.

Participate in resort committees, strategic planning sessions, and leadership development initiatives.

Support special projects and resort-wide initiatives as assigned by the CEO.Participate in community organizations, board, coaching, etc.

Serve as an ambassador for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort within the local community and hospitality industry.

Support overall success of JHMR beyond just the F&B organization.

The Senior Director of Food & Beverage must possess strong business acumen, strategic leadership capabilities, financial expertise, and hospitality experience necessary to lead a complex, multi-unit resort Food & Beverage operation.
Knowledge:
Food & Beverage operations management; multi-unit restaurant management; financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics; hospitality and guest experience best practices; inventory management; purchasing systems; labor management; workforce planning; health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations; capital planning; and project management.
Skills:
Strategic planning and execution; financial analysis; business performance management; leadership and team development; guest service excellence; communication and presentation; conflict resolution; problem-solving; project and change management; vendor negotiation; and contract management.
Abilities:
Lead large and diverse teams through changing business conditions; make sound decisions in fast-paced operational environments; interpret complex financial and operational data; build collaborative relationships across departments; influence organizational decision-making at an executive level; and balance strategic planning with operational execution.

Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience required.

Demonstrated experience managing complex operational budgets and financial performance.

Proven record of improving guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial results.

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.

Resort, ski industry, destination hospitality, or luxury hospitality experience preferred.

Experience overseeing multiple restaurant concepts and large-scale catering operations preferred.

Minimum of five (5) years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple Food & Beverage operations preferred.

Experience leading large seasonal and year-round workforces preferred.

Experience presenting to executive leadership, ownership groups, or boards of directors preferred.

Experience managing Food & Beverage operations exceeding $20 million in annual revenue preferred.

ServSafe Certification preferred.

Alcohol service certification preferred.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Strong proficiency in hospitality technology, POS systems, inventory systems, and financial reporting platforms.

Supervisory DutiesProvides direct leadership for Food & Beverage management teams, which may include the Director of Outlets, Executive Chef / Culinary Leadership Team, Catering & Events Leadership, Beverage Program Leadership, Restaurant and Outlet General Managers, and seasonal and year-round management staff. Responsible for overall leadership and development of the Food & Beverage Division, including several hundred seasonal and year-round employees.

Work Environment & Expected Hours of WorkWork is performed in a combination of office, restaurant, culinary, event, and mountain operations environments. Position requires frequent interaction with employees, guests, vendors, ownership representatives, and community stakeholders. Exposure to kitchen environments, varying weather conditions, and peak operating period demands is expected. Occasional travel for industry conferences, professional development, vendor meetings, benchmarking visits, and business-related events. Full-Time / Year-Round / Exempt position.

Schedule varies based on business needs.

Evening, weekend, and holiday work is frequently required during operational periods.

Additional hours may be required during peak seasons, special events, and budget planning cycles.
