We are looking for an engaged, proactive, team-oriented Contracts Administrator to support Viasat's Carlsbad-based Contracts team. As part of Contracts staff supporting multiple business areas, you will be assigned to represent the company to a variety of customers. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, have experience working in a high volume fast paced environment, and be a self-starter with the ability to work within broad guidelines. You should have knowledge in US Government acquisition practices and contracting regulations including terms and conditions. The day-to-day You will be responsible hands-on contracting tactical support on key contracts with the US government and commercial companies, and for supporting more experienced members of the Contracts team with strategic tasks including proposing, negotiating and administering/managing contracts and associated partner agreements. What you'll need 5+ years of experience administering government or commercial contracts Experience in the creation of quotations and proposals Knowledge of FAR Part 15 and FAR Part 12 contracting and regulations Basic understanding of commercial contracting practices Expert communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to multi-task and administer various responsibilities with internal and external customers while meeting deadlines in a professional and organized manner Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook U.S. Government position.
