Job Description Essential Functions:
1. Solicitation Support (25% of the Time)1. Work closely with District staff to develop various solicitations, including:1. Request for Proposals (RFPs)2. Request for Bids (RFBs)3.
Solicitation development tasks include:
1. Creating timelines2. Preparing addendums3. Issuing formal notifications, memos, and letters4. Collaborate with Risk Management and/or Legal Counsel as needed.2. Contract Negotiations (30% of the Time)1. Prepare, negotiate, and execute agreements and contracts with both public and private entities.2. Engage Risk Management and/or Legal Counsel during negotiation processes.3. Contract Management (15% of the Time)1. Oversee agreements, contracts, and other contractual documents.2.
Responsibilities include:
1. Collecting and reviewing vendor documentation (e.g., tax status, insurance, banking information, surety bonds)2. Ensuring compliance with contractual terms4. Document Records Maintenance (15% of the Time)1. Manage and maintain various contract documents, including:1. Contracts2. Insurance records3. Bonding information4. Correspondence between the customer and other contract parties5. Utilize the District's Record Center, Shared Drive, and other record repositories.5. Additional Responsibilities (5% of the Time)1. Assist the Sanitation District Purchasing Manager in editing or rewriting policies and procedures as needed.2. Contribute to other various projects as assigned.
pay range:
$40-46.60/hr Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or related areas
- Experience with government contracting or purchasing
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Experience with public entities (city, county, and special districts)
- Planning experience
