The ideal candidate is a proactive systems thinker with a strong background in enterprise software evaluation, SaaS lifecycle management, and vendor integration. In this role, you will lead technical trade studies, drive software selection, and own the day-to-day administration and onboarding of our tooling landscape—ensuring our teams have the secure, high-impact tools they need to execute efficiently. Information Systems owns the comprehensive suite of custom software, vendor software, data platforms and automated tools that will enable various teams to work more rapidly, our factories to build efficiently, and our launch teams to operate flawlessly. This position can be performed remotely from an approved location.
Responsibilities Trade Studies:
Conduct technical trade studies and software evaluations to ensure architectural fit, security, and cost efficiency.
SaaS Selection:
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical requirements and select optimal SaaS solutions.
Procurement Support:
Collaborate with Legal, InfoSec, and Procurement on technical due diligence, vendor onboarding, and SLA reviews.
Tool Setup & Deployment:
Collaborate with IT and business owners on the initial setup, tenant configuration, and IT integration for newly acquired software and subscriptions.
Daily License Lifecycle:
Oversee daily license management, predicting budget requirements for renewals, calculation of costs incurred by each team, and tracking of software cost per new user.
Cost & Utilization Tuning:
Track seat utilization and automate license harvesting to eliminate waste and optimize software spend.
Vendor Operations:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for external SaaS vendors, managing escalations and contract renewals.
Governance & Audit:
Perform routine audits to detect shadow IT, remove redundant tools, and maintain security compliance.
Intake Process Optimization:
Streamline the internal IT intake framework to reduce software evaluation and deployment lead times. Qualifications B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years in IT/IS roles focused on software architecture, enterprise tool evaluation, SaaS management, or IT operations. Proven track record of leading technical trade studies, vendor evaluations, and TCO/ROI analysis for software acquisitions. Strong experience partnering with InfoSec, Legal, and Procurement on technical due diligence, security reviews (SOC 2, ISO), and contract negotiations. Excellent communication and presentation skills Excited to work in a fast-paced environment with new challenges each week Nice-to-have Skills Recent experience in hardware, and/or modern aerospace engineering environments. Proven success in a high-growth startup environment Salary The salary range for this role is $164,000 - $231,000, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location as assessed during the interview process.
