Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Contracts Specialist to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). Position Summary The Contracts Specialist will support the full lifecycle of contract administration for complex government and commercial programs. Responsibilities include negotiating terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with
FAR/DFARS
requirements, and supporting proposal development. This role requires strong knowledge of federal regulations, cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and compliant contract execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents. Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and 2 CFR 200 requirements for federal contracts. Conduct contract price analysis Support negotiations with partners and vendors on terms, conditions, and pricing. Support proposal efforts, including risk assessment and contractor document collection. Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and ensure audit readiness. Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to align contract strategies with project objectives.Required Skills:
Strong communication (written and oral) Problem-solving and research skills Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 3+ years of contracting, subcontracting and/or procurement experience. Demonstrated expertise inFAR/DFARS
compliance requirements. Proven track record managing complex procurement actions and negotiations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship Valid U.S. Driver's License. Salary and Other Compensation The annual starting salary for this position is between $85,000 - $90,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Compensation Details:
