Job Description
Amentum is seeking a Subcontracts Specialist Professional for the Space Force Range Contract. This position is assigned to Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA or Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Job Description The Subcontracts Professional will support the full lifecycle of subcontract administration for complex government and commercial programs. Responsibilities include negotiating terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with
FAR/DFARS
requirements, and supporting proposal development. This role requires strong knowledge of federal regulations, cost analysis, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and compliant subcontract execution. Typical Duties Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents. Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and 2 CFR 200 requirements for federal contracts. Conduct subcontract price analysis Support negotiations with partners and vendors on terms, conditions, and pricing. Support proposal efforts, including risk assessment and subcontractor document collection. Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and ensure audit readiness. Collaborate with program managers and finance teams to align subcontract strategies with project objectives. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of contracting, subcontracting and/or procurement experience. Demonstrated expertise inFAR/DFARS
compliance requirements. Proven track record managing complex procurement actions and negotiations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship Experience with Space Force or DoD programs; advanced Excel proficiency- preferred Salary and Other Compensation The annual starting salary for this position (based on location) is between $85,000
- $90,000 annually for Western Range and $75,000
- $80,000 annually for Eastern Range.
