Job Description

Overview Axis Waste Management is a Waste Service Provider for multi-location businesses and private equity portfolio companies. We are founder-led, growing fast, and tech-forward — we utilize an AI-powered platform that gathers, audits, and pays every vendor invoice, so our people spend their time negotiating, not pushing paper. Who You Are Comfortable being the difficult one. You can sit in an adversarial conversation without folding and without getting emotional. You don't take the first "no." Somewhere in your life you've already talked someone out of a price, a fee, or a policy — and you enjoyed it. A rule follower by conviction. You can execute a script, a naming convention, and a communication protocol to the letter, every time, because you understand that discipline is the strategy. Discreet. You understand that how we win is proprietary, and you protect it. Persistent with gatekeepers. When someone is trained not to give you a straight answer, you find another way to the answer instead of giving up. Numbers-comfortable. You think in full contract term, not monthly rate, and you'd rather spend an extra week than give up a few dollars a month. A careful reader. Contracts are where the money hides. You're the kind of person who actually reads the fine print and notices what's missing. A clean, professional writer. Your emails read like they came from the client's own operations office, because when you hold the LOA, they did. Nice to Have — Not Required A degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related field — recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Any experience where you had to negotiate, collect, retain, or hold a line: sales, collections, customer retention, leasing, dealership F&I, call center escalations. Experience inside a hauler (WM, Republic, WCN, or a strong regional) in pricing, sales, or retention. Background in telecom or utility expense management, energy procurement, or freight procurement. Compensation & Growth $45,000 base + quarterly performance bonus. Your bonus is tied to results you personally produce, reviewed and paid every quarter. This is a role where getting good at the job visibly changes what you earn — and where the ceiling moves as you prove out. Why Join Ground-floor seat at a fast-growing company, with direct founder access and real ownership of your results. Performance-based bonus every quarter — what you win shows up in what you make. Real training in a skill that transfers everywhere: contracts, procurement, and negotiation. AI does your admin. You do the deals. Based in Fayetteville — no Atlanta commute. How to Apply Send a resume and a short note (5 sentences max) answering this: tell us about a time you got someone to give you something they had already said no to. It does not have to be professional. We care about how you did it.
