CITITRENDS
is seeking a Lease Administrator to be responsible for the accounting and auditing of the leases for the Company's stores and offices. The Lease Administrator will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ OUTCOMES
Oversee the company's financial transactions for stores lease payments, renewals, common area maintenance, taxes and insurance expenses. Ensures that billing and all other financial transactions are being taken care of in a timely manner. Compile monthly rent roll for assigned stores and submit changes management. Administer lease accounting functions for assigned group of stores, including impound reconciliation, scanning invoices, creating check requests and maintaining real estate payables. Must be able to interpret lease provisions and dispute charges not permitted under the terms of the lease. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must have excellent computer skills with an understanding of spreadsheets, database software, and the internet Must be well organized and have a strong ability to pay attention to detail Must be able to communicate with others, identify problems, and resolve potential conflicts Must have strong oral and written communication skills are critical Ability to read and understand documents such as general correspondence, department reports and office procedures, and understand legal documents and statutes. Ability to communicate effectively with landlords, and fellow associates. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. This position requires travel as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training in the area of accounting and/or administration of real estate leases.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee must frequently use their hands to handle or feel objects and must be able to speak and hear clearly. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
