IMPORTANT

information. The primary purpose of this position is: To function as the Unit Deployment Manager ensuring assigned personnel are qualified and ready to meet Air Expeditionary Force requirements. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and oversees all unit level deployment activities. Performs analysis activities. Provides technical guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding unit deployment program. Ensures personnel and equipment readiness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management ( OPM ) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes facilitating personnel deployment or redeployment processing; utilizing evaluative techniques in the identification, consideration, and/or resolution of deployment issues of a procedural or factual nature; reviewing deployment related documents for applicable equipment and personnel taskings in order to identify the deployment requirements; and preparing reports and briefings to managers regarding deployment operations.

OR EDUCATION

: Must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.

: A combination of experience and education may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

POSITIONS

: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in•grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
