First Shift Position Overview The Government Property Administrator is responsible for managing, tracking, and ensuring compliant use of all Government Furnished Property (GFP), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) in accordance with FAR Part 45, DFARS, and company policies. This role ensures accurate property records, supports audits, and maintains a compliant property management system throughout the asset lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Property Management & Compliance Maintain accountability for all government-owned property assigned to the company. Ensure compliance withFAR 45, DFARS
252.245, and DCMA Contractor Property Management System Audit (CPMSA) requirements. Oversee receipt, identification, tagging, storage, movement, and disposition of government property. Maintain accurate records in the approved property management system (e.g., SAP, Sunflower, AssetWorks, eQuip). Conduct periodic inventories, reconciliations, and audits of government property. Audits, Reporting & Documentation Prepare for and support DCMA audits, internal audits, and customer reviews. Investigate and document Loss, Damage, or Destruction (LDD) incidents; prepare required reports. Maintain complete and accurate documentation for property lifecycle events. Generate reports for internal stakeholders, contracting officers, and government representatives. Lifecycle Oversight Coordinate property transfers, reutilization, and disposition activities. Support contract closeout by ensuring all property is accounted for and properly dispositioned. Review contract requirements to identify property clauses and ensure compliance from award to closeout. Cross?Functional Collaboration Work closely with Supply Chain, Contracts, Program Management, Finance, and Operations. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on government property requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for government property matters.
Experience and Skills:
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2-5+ years of experience in government property administration or asset management. Working knowledge of FAR Part 45, DFARS, and government property lifecycle requirements. Experience with property management systems (SAP, Sunflower, or similar). Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to interpret contract clauses and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications CPPS or CPPA certification (NPMA). Experience supporting DCMA audits or Contractor Property Management System Experience with inventory control systems (WASP / eQuip) Reviews (PMSR). Background in aerospace, defense, or federal contracting environments. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems.
