Contracts Manager

Overview Are you detail-oriented, proactive and passionate about managing risks? As a Senior Contracts & Risk Manager, you will play a crucial role in our organization by supporting the pre-bid proposal and construction contract review process. Your expertise will be invaluable as you identify, evaluate and propose effective strategies to mitigate risks during the project pursuit and bid phase. This position will support our Susquehanna River Rail Bridge project, a $1.7B mega project in Maryland. A Joint Venture between FlatironDragados and Herzog is set to replace the 3/4-mile-long, 117-year-old, two-track movable Susquehanna River Rail Bridge connecting Perryville and Havre de Grace. What you will be doing Manage contractual matters with the Project Owner and ensure contract compliance. Lead the Change Management process with the Project Owner. Manage contractual matters with the Subcontractors and Suppliers and ensure contract compliance. Lead the Change Management process with the Subcontractors. Manage the Major Subcontract and Purchase Order procurement process. Analyzes proposal and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities. Identifies and pursues risk mitigation and risk transfer opportunities in close collaboration with the operational pursuit teams, business development, legal, insurance, and procurement. Coordinates all risk review and management activities throughout the various Bid Review Committee (BRC) phases to ensure all key risks resolved by time of bid delivery. Develops risk transfer strategies for joint venture, design agreements and main subcontracts. Prepares opinions and facilitates executive decision making with respect to key issues in project pursuits. Develops risk review and control tools including policies, processes and systems. Develops elationships key with stakeholders in estimating, business development, operations, and create alignment on the Company's risk management philosophies. What we are looking for Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field required and 5+ years' experience in Construction industry required. Previous experience with contracts, negotiations, pursuit management. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
