Job Description

Specialist Terminations & Closeout with Public Trust Clearance required
Client:
USAID (through our Tango Alpha division - Tango Alpha is one of our divisions) but USAID is the end client Washington DC Send locals its onsite Contract Specialist $40-45hr W2 plus Job Description TangoAlpha3 is seeking experienced Contract Specialists to support USAID contract termination activities and provide guidance on the procedural, legal, and operational requirements associated with contract terminations. The position will work closely with Contracting Officers, legal counsel, technical offices, and implementing partners while ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. Government and USAID requirements. Key Responsibilities Advise on contract terminations for convenience or default. Prepare required termination documentation, including termination notices, determinations and findings, negotiation memoranda, and settlement agreements. Interpret and apply applicable FAR provisions and USAID supplemental regulations and policies. Process contract actions within USAID contracts and financial management systems. Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel, technical teams, and implementing partners. Assess financial, contractual, and programmatic implications of terminations. Identify and support appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Ensure post-termination activities, including audits, final payments, and closeout, are completed in accordance with USAID requirements. Develop guidance, templates, and training materials supporting USAID award termination processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Business or related field. FAC-C Professional or CFCM certification. Experience with federal contracting and contract administration. Ability to interpret and apply FAR and applicable agency regulations and policies. Ability to quickly learn and apply requirements associated with Government-to-Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organization mechanisms. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
