Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented financial analyst to support rebate payment operations for a health insurance organization in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract position plays a key role in managing accurate and timely client rebate disbursements, serving as a trusted resource on contract terms and payment logic for an assigned portfolio. The role works in a hybrid environment and partners with multiple teams to research issues, analyze variances, and strengthen operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end rebate disbursement activities for an assigned group of clients, ensuring payments are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Review client agreements and rebate provisions to apply correct payment rules, setup logic, and disbursement handling.
- Act as a primary knowledge resource for rebate terms and operational processes within the assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate with billing, legal, underwriting, analytics, quality control, continuous improvement, and client-facing teams to resolve payment questions and operational issues.
- Investigate discrepancies through research, variance review, and root cause analysis, then recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries with clear, timely updates supported by independent analysis.
- Monitor performance against accuracy and timeliness targets and contribute to metric reporting and process tracking.
- Identify workflow gaps or inefficiencies and help implement process improvements and ad hoc financial initiatives as needed. Requirements
- Experience in financial operations, rebate administration, payment processing, or a related analytical business function.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data review, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ability to interpret contract language and translate terms into operational payment actions.
- Demonstrated skill in analytics, problem-solving, and root cause investigation within complex processes.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with billing, disbursement, or metric reporting processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL or similar data tools is preferred.
