WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role, you will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Business Development and lead SVS's proposal and marketing efforts from strategy through execution. Your work will be central to how SVS competes, communicates, and grows.
PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT
Lead proposal pursuits from kickoff through final submission, including strategy, scheduling, writing, editing, and production Develop client-focused proposals that clearly communicate SVS's qualifications, capabilities, and value Ensure all proposals are submitted on time, fully compliant with solicitation requirements, and reflect SVS's highest standards Coordinate interviews, presentations, and other pursuit-related deliverables Continuously refine proposal processes, templates, and quality standards
MARKETING STRATEGY & CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Collaborate with the EVP of Business Development to build and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with SVS's strategic goals Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns across priority markets, clients, and service lines Create and maintain website content, LinkedIn posts, capability statements, project success stories, and other marketing materials Transform technical accomplishments and project outcomes into compelling, audience-ready content Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all business development communications
CONFERENCE & INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT
Identify and recommend conferences and industry events that align with SVS's strategic objectives Manage all conference logistics — registration, promotional materials, shipping, and event preparation Coordinate pre-conference outreach and post-conference follow-up with clients and teaming partners Evaluate event effectiveness and continuously improve SVS's conference engagement strategy
MARKETING INFORMATION & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Maintain accurate and current employee resumes, qualifications, certifications, and project experience Organize and manage proposal content, templates, project descriptions, and reusable marketing resources Establish efficient processes for collecting updated information from technical staff Identify and implement improvements to marketing workflows, systems, and tools
WHAT YOU BRING
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, proposal development, communications, or business development support — with a strong preference for candidates with A/E/C, infrastructure consulting, or professional services industry experience
Writing & Communication:
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills — you can make complex technical content clear, compelling, and client-focused
Project Management:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously, coordinate cross-functional teams, and meet tight deadlines without dropping the ball
Technology:
Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with Adobe InDesign, Canva, digital marketing platforms, or CRM systems is a plus
Mindset:
Proactive, solutions-oriented, and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team Experience with federal, state, or municipal government proposals is a significant plus

WHAT SVS OFFERS
Competitive salary: $85,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience Company-supported professional development, including APMP certification within your first 12-18 months A collaborative, growth-oriented team environment The opportunity to build and lead a marketing function that directly shapes the future of a growing firm Occasional travel to conferences and industry events
