Werner Enterprises is hiring a Rate Publication Specialist in La Vista, NE. This is a full-time position. T At Werner, your precision is the engine behind our revenue. As a Rate Publication Specialist, you aren't just entering data; you are the architect of our rating engine. You will bridge the gap between complex logistics sales and financial accuracy, ensuring our pricing translates seamlessly from a handshake to an invoice. Reporting to the Manager of Rate Administration, you will join a high-energy team where best-in-class is our daily standard. What You'll Do Configure Rating Modules:
Analyze freight execution profiles and configure rate structures in our systems to match complex, high-value customer contracts.Data Manipulation & Integrity:
Perform heavy file preparation and manipulation using the Microsoft Suite (Excel-heavy) to translate customer awards into live pricing.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a central hub between Pricing, Billing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure seamless communication and execution.Technical Problem Solving:
Investigate and resolve "no-rate" errors and billing discrepancies with a sense of urgency, often requiring same-day resolution.Financial Safeguarding:
Manage and audit rate implementations to prevent errors that directly impact our financial reporting and bottom line maintaining our financial integrity.System Management:
Maintain and update rates across both internal Werner systems and external customer portals to ensure alignment with business rules.Essential Job Functions Implementation:
Manage and implement large-scale customer awards based on specific load execution requirements.Communication:
Maintain clear, concise documentation of rate modifications and research findings within internal systems.Analytical Problem-Solving:
A root-cause mindset. Determine why the issue occurred and how to prevent it.System Optimization:
Assist management in the development and enhancement of rating systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.Technical Support:
Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding rate administration inquiries and troubleshooting.Reporting:
Generate official rate agreements to finalize publications for Werner Enterprises. Analyze rate discrepancies and collaborate with partner departments to resolve Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor In-Person. - Strong typing skills - alphanumeric data entry

- Knowledge of transportation industry and terminology. Usually gained through practical experience and on-the-job training.
- Knowledge of customer service policies and practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1 to 2 years customer service experience preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of transportation experience preferred.
- 1 to 2 years Transportation System (AS/400) experience preferred.
