Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Grants & Contracts Analyst III for the Military Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. Under the direction, assists in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, monitors budgets for grants and contracts, ensures all grant and contract activities are compliant with state and federal regulations, prepares financial and progress reports to funding agencies, monitors the progress of funded projects, serves as a resource for staff on grant and contract management. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Assists Principal Investigator in the preparation and submission of grant proposals ensuring compliance with funding agency guidelines, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and adheres to funder guidelines. Oversees pre- and post-award financial management for federal, state, corporate, and private foundation grants and contracts. Reviews and monitors budgets for grants and contracts, ensuring proper allocation of funds. Serves as the financial bridge between program operations and management. Submits required invoices and financial reports, and prepares and submits progress reports to funding agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Monitors the progress of funded projects with the Principal Investigator, ensuring milestones are met and expenditures are within budget.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field plus one (1) year of relevant experience in related fiscal activities. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
