As our Corporate Counsel, you will be the main point of contact for legal contract review and contract management, supporting Kuehne+Nagel's Road Logistics team in the United States. You will act as the primary reviewer for US contracts, but will also support in key global initiatives. How you create impact You will be the central liaison for Business Unit Logistics contract review and negotiations Work with business owners to review contracts with subcontractors Collaborate directly with Global Leadership of your Business Unit Work with internal business owners to review and submit comments on RFP's and contracts being negotiated and liaise with other counsels when required Coordinate activity with approved legal processes for contract review as provided for under our Contract Review Policy of North American General Counsel Interact with Kuehne+Nagel's Compliance Officer to assure proper adherence to our Code of Conduct and Government requirements of anti-trust and anti-corruption nature; Together with business owners, interact with insurance brokers, Nacora and Anchor Risk Services, to assess need for procurement of additional insurance coverage for the individual This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. What we would like you to bring Be legally qualified and have solid corporate/commercial law experience Experience in logistics, particularly Road Logistics, is highly beneficial Immigration law experience is preferred, but not required Results-focused orientation, pragmatism, and intercultural sensitivity Persuasive personality with global mindset and a highly collaborative working style Keen analytical skills, excellent networking abilities, and ability to identify critical issues that might be industry specific This position a hybrid 4-1 position, with 4 days in office minimum in our Jersey City location What's in it for you At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
