BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Grants Administrator will conduct planning, writing, and implementing grant programs, preparing budgets, researching funding opportunities, monitoring expenditures, identifying support agencies, tracking results, analyzing financial data, and coordinating County special projects and extracurricular activities. This position also requires independent judgment and discretion, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to perform all duties with minimum supervision, and must be able to take full responsibility of deadlines and all other tasks. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend jobrelated meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or five (5) years' experience in Administration, Accounting or related field required. Three years' experience in Grant Writing, Funding proposal or related field preferred. Must successfully pass criminal and employment background investigations. Eligibility to work in the U.S. verified thru E-Verify.

All job offers are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Must have, or ability to obtain, a current valid NM driver's license and be insurable by the County Insurance Authority.

MUST PROVIDE A CURRENT DRIVING RECORD.

Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet software. MS Office Professional preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required. Ability to present information clearly and concisely in English.

Practical knowledge of the use of office machines and equipment, including various computer programs and word processing software. Must be able to file manually and accurately and maintain an accurate filing system for annual audit.

Must have the ability to comprehend and explain to others, the proper purchasing procedures, credit card processing procedures and guidelines. Must be able to read and understand rules pertaining to all purchasing or equipment and supplies for Eddy County. Ability to perform the essential duties in the working conditions and with the equipment, tools and materials listed below.
