Months Job Summary:
In this role, you will participate in subcontract formation and/or administration. Subcontract formation includes leading preparation and review of bid request packages and developing project contracts operating procedures. Subcontract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of difficulties. Your work will ensure subcontract compliance with project requirements. #LI-RG1
Major Responsibilities:
Subcontract Management Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project's agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement Subcontract Formation Conforms and ensures subcontract execution Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned Prepares bidders' lists and pre-qualifies bidders Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders Coordinates bidders' questions and answers to those questions Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures Prepares subcontract documents for execution Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Client, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Expert knowledge of subcontract terms and conditions and EPC contracting practices. Proven leadership and supervisory capability. Strong negotiation, judgment, and decision making skills. Ability to operate as a trusted deputy and extension of the Project Subcontracts Manager. Full time on site availability. Preference for subcontract management experience in Semiconductor / Data Center / Life Sciences sectors.
